Nervous about buying art online? Don't be! What you unpack will so much nicer than what you see here. I've been selling art online for two decades. Integrity is built into every square inch of my business. You have my handshake on that--it's the West Texas way! As we Texans say, don't be a stranger! Give me a shout with your questions, concerns or to say hello.

Buying art should be one of life's grand experiences. Let me make it so for You!

Big Bend Artist Lindy Cook Severns paints the wild American west, high desert ranch lands of Far West Texas and Big Bend country.  Her art hangs in most every state in the USA, in international collections, at the New York Stock Exchange. Featured in the 2016 PBS documentary WESTERN PERSPECTIVE, and in the definitive book TEXAS TRADITIONS, CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS OF THE LONE STAR STATE 2010, the southwest landscape painter lives on a remote working ranch in the Davis Mountains near Ft Davis and Marfa with husband Jim, two stubbornly affectionate rescued terriers and a cranky African Grey parrot who passionately loves art.

Lindy is the recipient of the 2020 Distinguished Alumni Award for the College of Arts & Sciences of Texas Tech University.

Lindy has "an amazing ability to capture both the bold colors and dramatic formations of the far West Texas landscape, but also the subtle variations in light and shading... she can skillfully present the grandest of vistas, but she also equally masters the most delicate details of sand, rock, and grass. She is particularly adept at painting the western sky in all of its drama and color. When I look at Lindy’s work, I feel an immediate kinship with her vision and love of the western landscape."

Description from Merchant:

We want Lindy Cook Severns art to last for generations. All prints, whether open editions or uniquely embellished remarques are done on with archival (acid-free, non-reactive) ink and papers and matted in acid-free matboard. Original art, from the smallest drawings and watercolors to the largest oils and pastel paintings are done on archival surfaces. Lindy uses the highest grade pigments in each medium. Light-fastness of pigments is further protected by covering all but all paintings in artist grade UV protective glazing, whether glass or acrylic. Conservation framing on original art means no reactive materials come in contact with the artwork, so all tape and backing boards are acid free and create a barrier for the artwork.
